Salim founded the firm in 1996, following his completion of the Joint Committee on Accreditation program with the Federation of Law Societies of Upper Canada in 1993 and call to the Canadian Bar in 1995. Prior to this, Salim obtained his B. Comm in 1985, his LL.B in 1988, and his LL.M partial in 1989. He completed his Solicitor exam from the Incorporated Law Society in 1990. Salim practiced law in India as a Barrister and Solicitor from 1988 until 1992. Salim has a passion that inspires the firm. Salim is passionate about advocating for his client’s needs and fighting “the hard cases” which was recognized by his peers who awarded him the Edward J Mann Award in 2021. Salim is not afraid of a challenge and supports clients through the difficult process of family law.
Salim works in all areas of family law. Salim has over two decades of experience with issues of parenting, separation and divorce, division of property, and child protection. Salim aids with clients in all avenues of family disputes, such as litigation, mediation, arbitration, and collaborative law. Salim also is on the panel of the Office of the Children’s Lawyer and the Ministry of Children, Community, and Social Services.
Salim also practices the areas of wills and estates and immigration. Salim has also assisted many clients navigate the Canadian Immigration System. Salim has assisted many clients with their immigration to Canada including permanent residence applications, sponsorships, and humanitarian and refugee claims.
When Salim is not at the office, Salim enjoys spending time at the beach and cooking.
